Buckle up. Around this time last year, the complete picture of Jordan Brand’s landmark celebration of four decades was beginning to come into focus. Though there’s still plenty of goalposts in that effort to work through in 2025, it appears that it’s all gas no brakes once again for the Jumpman in 2026, as news of the Air Jordan 3 “Orange Citrus” further crystallizes.
An unreleased sample from the 2007 lifestyle era, the sample itself is easily digestible for fans of the silhouette, maintaining the everlasting white leather base and dotting it with “Orange Citrus” hues in the trademark Air Jordan 3 elephant print, the outsole, and the collar. Flanks of dark grey TPU down the lace stay panels and a fire red Jumpman complete the contrast notes. Within that history, the shoe bleeds that LS era atmosphere, closely comparing to another women’s exclusive in the “Harbor Blue,” and carrying some echoes of the “Katrina” charity exclusive that surfaced around that same time.
Taken alongside a pair like the Air Jordan 6 “Reverse Infrared” and in more abstract terms, the “Rare Air” series, this showcases a step up in Jordan Brand’s willingness to mine their own history. While we’ve become well accustomed to the brand running back released product with Retro releases, diving into ones left on the cutting room floor is building as an overall narrative in Beaverton.
At the time of this writing, the Air Jordan 3 “Orange Citrus” is expected to touch down on April 25th, 2026, exclusively in women’s sizing. Familiarize yourself with the original sample via the images below.
