Tracy McGrady is back in stripes. The basketball Hall Of Famer, one of the brand’s most marketable and popular athletes, has renewed his partnership with adidas.
T-Mac first joined adidas back in 1997, inking a 6-year deal worth $12 million. Right before that deal was set to expire, he signed a massive $100 million deal with the brand in the form of a perpetual agreement. However in 2022, T-Mac stated during an on-stage interview at the Hashtag Sports conference that his partnership with adidas was coming to an end.
“I’ve been with Adidas for 25 years, I think we’re coming to an end. … The treatment that I’ve gotten from them over the last ten years, it is what it is. I deserve better.”
By 2023, the T-Mac x adidas union had come to a close, but today, adidas has announced that it has reunited with its former signature athlete. T-Mac, alongside Sonny Vaccaro, will play an integral role in bringing the ABCD Camp back to its high esteem. On the sneaker front, we can expect re-releases of his adidas T-MAC line that spanned six models.
