Despite irking the purist crowd, the “winterized” genre of Jordan releases has more than its fair share of fans. The Air Jordan 9 has been the most frequently-tapped numbered model in that regard, and with its boot-inspired construction, it’s easy to digest why. With the colder months on the horizon once more, we’re learning that the Jordan 9 Boot is due to return later this year.
This Jordan 9 Boot debuted in the late 2010s and was last seen through a 2022 restock. The “winterized” model features a durable leather and suede construction, gusseted tongue, water-resistant coating, and metal eyelets. Underfoot, Mike’s ninth signature is given a new outsole better equipped for tackling snow and other harsh terrains. Sneakerheads’ best memory of the Jordan 9 Boot might be the “Olive” colorway from 2017; a truly disappointing sight for those who were expecting a proper retro of the original colorway. The model’s best and most popular look is arguably the Timberland-esque “Wheat” from 2018, one of two expected to return Holiday 2025. The other colorway on tap is the “Black/Gum,” which first arrived in 2021 and returned as part of that aforementioned 2022 restock.
Both Jordan 9 Boot colorways are due out Holiday 2025, meaning between October-December. No MSRP has been floated as of this writing, but interested buyers should expect something in the $225-$250 range.
