For the most part, the Jumpman’s Holiday outings is a game of familiar faces: the yearly AJ11 spotlight with the Air Jordan 11 “Gamma,” a can’t miss bring back in the Jordan 4 “Black Cat,” and collaborative efforts like the A Ma Maniere Jordan 6. Among the “one of these things is not like the other” pairs on tap, the Zion Jordan 1 truly stands out, both an athlete edition and a sequel, and it’d seem Beaverton is doubling down.
Obviously this version of the Jordan Zion 4 borrows the inspiration and special edition touches that made the first go-around a show-stopper. See the exposed doll stitching for the foremost embrace, while burlap-like fabric furthers that idea. Interestingly, though the Jordan Zion 2 mirrored the colorway that followed it a few months later, the fourth shoe bucks the impending “Alternate” entirely, opting for a comprehensive “Wheat” style palette.
As mentioned, the original AJ1/Zion 2 pairing were separated by a couple of weeks. In similar fashion, the Zion Williamson x Air Jordan 1 Low “Voodoo Alternate” is due out on October 29th; expect the Jordan Zion 4 “Voodoo” to touch down on September 20th with a $140 retail price.
