LaMelo Ball, if anything, knows how to make an entrance. Though his footwear catalog with PUMA has never been understated, his latest in the PUMA MB.05 went the extra mile, strengthening its eye-catching hardware with a pink and silver “World Tour” colorway that guaranteed it’d splash upon debut. With that initial edition now given a few weeks to stand alone, the next steps for the PUMA MB.05 are just as hi-vis, uncorking a “Voltage” colorway dropping soon.
Eschewing the glimmering sequins that helped the “World Tour” shine, this “Voltage” edition is only more restrained by those twinkling standards. Adding adding trim through the various floral prints in the upper and slew of branding hits is the chief way PUMA designer accomplish this, but there’s still a heavy dose of highlighter shades on the mesh, sole unit, and the molded TPU wings/straps at the heart of this design. The upper print may just be the biggest development here, breaking from the feathery, psychedelic textures of the debut pair and showcasing how PUMA can further experiment with their latest hoops innovation outside LaMelo’s usual out-of-this-world touch.
The PUMA MB.05 “Voltage” is expected to release on October 10th, retailing for the standard $130 sticker price.
