It’s wild to think that Ronnie Fieg and Kith have done over 100 ASICS sneaker collaborations. Spread throughout those projects are countless other shoe collabs, the growth of the Kith flagship network, doing runway shows in the streets of NYC, and the opening of the somewhat controversial Kith Ivy.
Dropping a first-look teaser on his Instagram, Ronnie is going back full circle to the silhouette that helped him become a household name in sneaker history–the ASICS GEL-Lyte III.
Without question, there is some backstory tied to the design. From our observation, we see a pristine color-blocking that consists of a multitude of blue shades (almost reminiscent of the Air Jordan 4 “Military Blue”), premium white leather upper overlays, and an ornate pattern stitched beneath.
The reworked FIEG logo done in ASICS style type is embroidered onto the outer half of the GEL-Lyte III’s iconic split tongue, while lace options reveal basic flat laces and a more fitting secondary set in a matching blue in the roped trail-like styling.
Ann official announcement is likely coming soon, so stay tuned for more updates.

Who is Ronnie Fieg?
Ronnie Fieg is the founder and creative director of New York fashion label and retailer KITH. He and his NYC brand have become inarguable power players within the footwear industry, boasting a collaborative history with Nike, adidas, PUMA, ASICS, New Balance, Salomon, Clarks, and a host of additional brands.
When did ASICS and KITH / Ronnie Fieg first collaborate?
The first ASICS x Ronnie Fieg collaboration took place in 2006 with the “252 Pack,” created as a three-way collaboration with the Queens native, the Japanese giant, and NYC footwear retailer David Z., of which Fieg was an employee at the time of release. It was these pairs that helped the eventual KITH founder gain notoriety within the footwear space, something fully stamped as he and ASICS released the first KITH ASICS GEL-Lyte 3s in 2011: the “Salmon Toe” and “Leatherback.” These stand seminal pieces of the “suede runner” movement of the 2010s and a genesis moment for what’s become a global imprint in KITH, looming large over a hefty roster of subsequent GL3 drops and an ironclad partnership between the two imprints.
Where can I buy the KITH / Ronnie Fieg x ASICS GEL-Lyte III?
Given this latest link-up between KITH and ASICS has just been announced, concrete release information is limited. However, with Ronnie Fieg himself teeing up first looks at this shoe, a drop via KITH web, app, and in-store locations is likely to follow in short order.
